I’m Emilio Ríos. My base camp is Barcelona, always looking for the next adventure.

I would like to be able to say that I had a computer when I was 7 years old and that I programmed since I was 12 like most of the people I follow and admire, but the truth is that I was only interested in zoology and botany and I only became interested in programming in my twenties.

I had finally discovered what I wanted to do for life, it was love at first sight. Since that moment, the only thing I loved more than coding it's exploring and looking for animals in their natural habitat, for plants in the jungle or try strange dishes out there, spicy if possible.

I have been working as developer for more than 10 years, always in startups, witch it's a great way to learn and grow. It's also an adventure, a crazy one, but I'm not going to lie, I love it.

Startups are very dynamic environments, where you have to be attentive and be able to change the course in a very agile way. Most of them go nowhere (that's why I have so many companies on my resume), but the experience remains, and you can use it for the next attempt.
